Teeth pulled?

i have to get 4 f**king teeth pulled 2morrow to make room for braces so please i need words of advice. i hear i will be in A LOT of pain please someone give me some words of advice and i think i have the option to have the extraction awake or asleep someone console me :[

Mmm, I had all four of my wisdom teeth pulled all at the same time. When they were actually pulling the teeth, my gums were really numb but I did feel a lot of pressure when the dentist was struggling to pull the teeth out. She then sewed on some dissolvable stitches and for the rest of the afternoon (about 2-3 hours), it was still numb until it began to wear off. During that time, I was bleeding a lot and had to constantly it out because the blood kept filling up my whole mouth. Afterwards they advised me not to suck out of a straw for a while until it healed or to rinse heavily. So for me, the actual process of pulling the teeth was not painful until afterwards where it was more of a pain to have. But good luck!
Reply:cant lie it does hurt afterward its more sore then actual pain but its just annoying esp if you bleed alot and cant eat. I have to go for a root canal tomorrow so good luck!
Reply:I had 11 teeth pulled because of crank- tell the dude you need some vicodin. He'll try to give you codeine and tell him it makes you nauxious. Tell him that vicodin worked good once for your back. He'll numb you up and you won't feel a thing when they pull them, but tell him you;re nervous and want some nitrous.
Reply:You should not have any pain during extraction as long as the doctor numbs the area first. You'll have discomfort from the needle to inject the Novocaine and after the numbness wears off you may have an aching jaw. Usually pain killers are given for the aftermath. It's not too bad. Just be sure to follow your doctors aftercare instructions. You'll do fine.....don't expect the worse. I would avoid complete sedation because of the added risks.
Reply:WOW braces. well they're not that bad. i had braces for 2 yrs 1/2. I got 2 pulled out and i cried but ur much happier when its all over. keep ur chin high and u'll survive. trust me. and i rather be asleep(I was awake the whole time and i wasn't given an option) Good luck! Smiles
