Getting wisdom teeth pulled tomarrow..?

I am getting 2 of my wisdom teeth pulled tomarrow and I am scared. I am scared because they said they will have to put me under to do so. What can I do to not be so afraid. All I do is think about it?? I know I have to do it reguardless. Also what can I use for me not to swell up so bad? and what kind of things to eat like on the day after? I heard salt water will help you heal faster. Is that true?

Getting wisdom teeth pulled tomarrow..?
i went to the dentist and had a wisdom tooth pulled... it took all of 15 minutes.. i walked in sat in the chair he froze it and not even 5 minutes later i was leaving...but yeah i have heard horror stories.. but hey if they are putting you out then enjoy.. you won`t feel a thing..
Reply:I got all four of mine pulled at the same time about a month and a half ago. I was also put under with no2 (laughing gas), it really did make me trip out for a bit. I was really nervous before and during but I really couldnt feel a thing. So for you being worried about the operation because of the pain, dont, you wont feel it. For the soreness and swelling, ice packs help alot and also no rinsing for the first couple hours until the wounds stop bleeding and scab up. Salt water is not until the next day. The healing process is probably worse then the teeth pulling but no where near the nightmare I had in mind. Good luck!
Reply:It won't be bad at all. You should gargle w/warm salt water the day after, and continue to brush, a clean mouth heals faster. Oh and don't eat anything that can irritate the areas. STAY AWAY FROM MOUTHWASH it will BURN!
