I had teeth pulled and i think i am pregnant, Whats the risk?

I had my 4 wisdom teeth pulled and and i got my period the day before the surgery but now i have been having symptoms of pregnancy. Also i didnt quite get my period this month i spotted for 3 days so i am a little nervious. So i want to know what is the risk of the baby NOT only because of the X-Rays but also cuz of the novicane and after care pills. Any input would help until i test myself tomorrow! Thanks

Most of the OB/GYN's that I talk to have no problems with a pregnant woman having dental work done as long as a lead shield is used and no nitrous is used.

Okay, now knowing that they put you to sleep, you need to see your OB/GYN and see if you are pregnant. If so tell them about the sedation that you had. There isn't any input that is going to make you feel better until you see the doctor. I don't know what the effects on a pregnancy could be cause this is usually never done.
Reply:I don't think there's any risk in that. :)
Reply:I had a molar pulled while I was pregnant, with Novocaine and a little pain medication.. did not effect my pregnancy
Reply:the x-ray was in your mouth so was the novicane is a local dont worry
Reply:People do all sorts of stuff to their bodies before they discover they are pregnant. I wouldn't be too concerned. Seriously.
Reply:Although it's easier said than done, just relax %26amp; try to not worry about it. Wait until you test positive %26amp; THEN consult a doctor %26amp; think about the dangers. Worry is just a waste of time %26amp; you especially don't need to do it if you are pregnant! There is nothing you can do about it tonight.... Just go to sleep! G'night %26amp; good luck!
Reply:no risk.... you got your period the day before surgery... so you weren't pregnant during the xray, procedure or medication afterwards. by the time you could have gotten pregnant the medication would have been out of your system
Reply:Brooke and Huskymom have given you good answers. If you were NOT pregnant at the time of surgery, obviously it's no big deal. If you WERE pregnant - which is possible even if you had one period - then what's done is done. It's true that there are risks, but if there's a 10% chance of damage, there's a 90% chance of "not damage." Just assume that everything is fine until you have an actual reason to think otherwise.
