I have to get teeth pulled really soon and I'm scared can you help me please???

You can say I'm a crybaby or whatever and I am getting laughing gas but when I was younger I remember getting teeth pulled and that novacaine shot KILLED. Is this because the numbing gel wasn't on long enough or they didn't give me a lot of laughing gas because I was little? Why would it hurt that much? I have to get teeth pulled in about 2 1/2 hours and because of my bad experiances, I am freaking out so much and I'm going to cry because I am so scared. I'm 13 can someone help me please??

The laughing gas will help to improve your experience ALOT. Certainly tell the dentist that you are very nervous, and I'm sure that he/she and the staff will do all they can to make your experience worry-free. They will put something on your gums to make the injection easier to take. Expect to feel a slight pinch, even with the gas, but nitrous oxide will make you feel so relaxed that you REALLY won't care. I know it's hard to imagine, but you will see. You'll get through it without a problem. Good luck...even though you won't need it!
Reply:You're welcome! I'm glad that it went so well. I know that I do whatever I can to make my patients comfortable, and I am especially careful when someone says they are scared. Congratulations! Report It

Reply:Take deep breaths and relax! Be sure to explain to your dentist that you're scared, and they will do what they can to make you feel relaxed and comfortable.
Reply:you have to make sure when your dentist shoots your gums with novacane-to massage it in. generally for a tooth pulling should require at least 2-3 pricks and in that time, massage the part of the mouth he just did so it spreads quicker and more evenly. if necessary, ask him to put a little more(because after the 1st shot, you cant feel anything but the cold metal pressing against your lips.
