Getting 2 teeth pulled?

i was born w/out the 'pointy' bottom teeth(srry can't remember what there called....=]) i never had the adult or baby teeth grow in on the bottom, you can't tell unless ur a dentist or ortho, (there is no gap or anything like that).

but bcuz of it, and that fact that i'm getting braces%26amp; an expander, i have to get two on the top pulled to even it out.

I don't know if i will be put under or if they are just going to numb it w/ a shot.....what do u think?

when they don't put u to sleep, and only use the numbing stuff, do you feel any pain.

(i hate going to the dentist, i'm one of those who has a phobia..)

Getting 2 teeth pulled?
dont worry!! i have had my i teeth pulled (which r the teeth that r next 2 the teeth that r next 2 ur top teeth sorry its confusing) and they r the hardest teeth 2 pull they pulled them out @ the same time so they numbed me up 2 my eyebows so i wouldnt feel any pain!!!! and i didnt i have also had my teeth behind my i teeth pulled @ the same time they numbed me 4 that 2 but a lot less and i felt no pain then i had a ancklelosis (spelt wrong) tooth pulled which is where my tooth was attach 2 my jaw bone and my jawbone was pulling it down so instead of coming in is was going down so they had 2 remove that tooth surgecly (spelt wrong) so i wouldnt get an infection and that was the only time they put me 2 sleep u wilbe fine they wil give u a couple of shots so u wont feel any pain only pressure and they wil tell u that u wil feel no pressure and they wont even let u see the shot im 13 and they till hide it behind their back and make me close my eyes even though i told them it was ok 4 me 2 see it lol then b4 u no it u will be done when ur in there just think man 2morrow will come fast and then it does and u have 2 less teeth 2 brush!! good luck w/ braces!! i have 2 get them 2 in a couple months!! hope i helped!!
Reply:it might not hurt going in but after the numbing goes not it's going to hurt like crazy
Reply:i'm pretty sure they'll knock you out. these are not loose teeth. it's no big deal. the doc will tell you all about it.
Reply:Please do not worry. You don't need to be put to sleep to have the teeth pulled out , but if you want to, they will at a much higher cost. If they numb you up the only thing you will feel is the PRESSURE of extracting the teeth, not pain. No need for you to worry, everything will be just fine. Good luck
Reply:I hate dentist visits too! Am 35 and if your going to get braces your probably a lot younger then me, so If you don't want to go because it is pain full, I know what you mean. My advice to you is go, grin, and bare it, because if you don't do what's needed now, there will be hell to pay when your older. As far as Anestassia, If the dentist is good he will numb the right area and you shouldn't feel pain. But if the right area is missed it can be pain full. So if you get local anesthesia make sure your very numb, tell the dent. what you feel. Better yet you can ask a day,or so in advance, if you will be put under or not, and if not ask if it is possible to be put under completely if that's what you prefer.

Good Luck!
Reply:When i got my braces i had to get four molars pulled out, big teeth they were! It was ok and pain wasn't that horrible or anything. They would put this numbing cream on the tooth that was pulled and afterwards they would give you this long mettalic shot into your vein/inside of your gums, to numb it. That part kinda hurt the most. Afterwards, they pulled your tooth but it didn't really hurt at that part at all. When the anesthsia weared off, it didnt really hurt either. I guess it all depends on what kind of a person you are. Some people exaggerate that it hurts while others don't. For me, i think pulling teeth isn't a horrible experience. Trust me, there is more in life that's more painful. But seriously, it doesn't hurt that much, don't worry, i had to go back twice to get all 4 of them pulled out.
Reply:I hated hated HATED getting teeth pulled with just a shot of Novocaine, I didn't cooperate or anything (I was like 13 lol) So my parents finally took me to an oral surgeon, he put me on anestiea, and put me to sleep, then gave me Novocaine, and it was over. I hate the dentist too, don't worry :] I have had my adult teeth for a few years, and I can't seem to recall the sensations you get while getting your teeth pulled, but all I know is that you will feel a little pain, and then more pain when the Novocaine wears off, when that happens (at home) take two Tylenol. By the next day (or the day after) you'll feel so much better :] Good luck most definitely, I will pray for you :]
