I'm scared to get my teeth pulled!!!!!!!!!!!!!?

In about 2 weeks (July 27) I have to get 2 teeth pulled and then in a week after that (August 3) I have to get another 2 teeth pulled and THEN about 2 weeks after that (August 14) I will be getting my top braces on.





I'M SCARED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!





People have been telling me "It won't hurt, you'll be fine" but I'm scared still. I'm really scared to get my teeth pulled and even to get my braces on.





What do they do when they pull your teeth? Will it hurt?





What happens when you get your braces on? What do they do (exactly)?





I'm not really scared more nervous....really, really nervous.

Okay, calm down. I was like you when i got my first teeth pulled and when I first got my braces. It turns out that I was all scared for nothing.





When they pull your teeth they will first put a gel in your mouth which kind of numbs it up. Then they give you a few injections in your gums which numbs up your mouth even more. Then they will get this thing that looks liek pliers and pull your teeth, it is painless, and doesn't take long at all.





To put your braces on it will take about 30-45 minutes. First they might give you this pill to dry up our mouth. Then they put this thing in your mouth which stretches it open. They put glue on each of your teeth and put the brackets on, one by one. They put this special light over your teeth to make the glue dry and then put the metal wire on your brackets. Then they tell you how to take care of your braces and then you go home.
Reply:There will be discomfort, but look upon it as something that must be done, there is nothing to stop this from happening and this is preparing you for the end result - braces and a million-dollar smile.

but i don't know about braces because i never got them but sister well get them in two weeks
Reply:Hi , I got removable braces a few years ago and i got 4 teeth removed and 10 yrs later i now have fixed braces and no teeth pulled, The worst part was the waiting to get them on but not i will have the braces on for 2 years and a lovely smile then . Think about your smile.

Reply:I don't blame you for being scared, I'm a grown adult woman who is recovering from getting two of my wisdom teeth pulled, and the two week,s following up to the procedure I was freaking out. I have feared the dentist for so many years that it has prevented me from getting important work done to my teeth. Anyway after I had my extraction done my fear from the dentist was gone, I felt silly for being so scared for so long, but keep in mind he prescribed me Valium for my anxiety so when I got to my appointment I did,nt have a care in the world. I might add you should ask your dentist to prescribe you something to take before your appointment just to relax you and make the whole process less stress full.
