Today Im getting 2 of the 4 teeth pulled for braces. Im really nervous. Someone help me. Please email me too =)

1) How long will the process take (they are not wisdom teeth or molars)?

2) How long will it take to heal?

3) What should I eat afterwards?

4) How long do I have to wait before I can eat?

5) How bad will it hurt on a scale of 1-10, 1 being nothing and 10 being horrible.

Getting Teeth Pulled TODAY!?
1 1/2 hour 2 a few days 3. nothing for a few hours, then clear liq, then advance as you feel able to 5.. 2 or 3 if you do well 6 if problems, controlled by meds i hope
Reply:Perhaps if you ask your dental surgeon, he/she will be able to give you the answers to all of your questions. Just like other surgeries.....many people take things (pain, healing, etc.) different. I'm sure you'll be fine though. I had my wisdom teeth pulled, and the process was not bad at all.....very little pain (after the surgery), and my mouth healed up fairly quickly (a few days).
Reply:It will be quick. They numb the area really good and pull them out. It is alot of pressure but you shouldn't feel it and if you do tell them they will numb it some more. It will take a few days to heal and you will want to eat soft foods because your mouth will be sore and bleeding for the next few hours. On a pain scale I would say in my experiences it would be a 2 or 3. It was more uncomfortable than painful.
Reply:1.) Shouldn't take more than 20 minutes to pull the teeth. Probably 15 minutes to get you good and numb, though.

2.) Healing takes a couple of weeks. Be careful not to drink through a straw and do what they tell you to do so that you don't develop a painful condition known as "dry socket".

3.) Eat soft foods and soups afterwards. Jello, Ice Cream, Yogurt, Cottage Cheese are all good to have on hand. I like Bean %26amp; Bacon soup after dental work. It is very comforting.

4.) You probably won't want to eat right away, but within a few hours you'll be able to.

5.) It really shouldn't hurt at all. You may feel some discomfort %26amp; pressure when they pull the tooth, but not pain. Your mouth will be a little sore for a couple of days, but nothing a little Tylenol won't cure.

Good luck with your appointment. Don't be afraid - You'll make it worse on yourself if you don't relax and trust the dentist.
Reply:On your scale try 3,It's a bigger pain in the butt until the Novocaine wears off. You'll get a itch you can't scratch. I've had teeth pulled that I didn't feel anything just a little pressure. Don't worry it's a piece of cake and ask your dentist about healing and eating he knows best
Reply:depends on where the teeth are; 1. will it hurt, on your scale maybe a 3 if the dentist knows what he is doing. 2. it will heal in a few days and you will not be in pain after first few hours, 3. you can eat anything you want after a few hours, 4. it should take about an hour( for whole appointment), after he gives you shots and starts process. don't worry be happy , in time you will have perfect teeth, just relax!!!!
Reply:I don't know any of the answers to your question but GOOD LUCK HUN.
Reply:THE DENTIST WILL TELL YOU.

10 GOOD LUCK
