Hi im having two teeth pulled from the top of my mouth one on each side..im getting this because i have an over bite after there pulled they say the over bite will go away..how will this happen and will i have a gap in the middle of my teeth how is this going to work out? also does it hurt when they get pullled? thanks in advanced.

When you have an overbite we sometimes take out first bicuspids on each side and then bring the top front teeth backwards some to fill in the gap and reduce the overbite. You will NOT end up with a gap in the middle of your mouth, if that's what you mean, but sometimes there's a tiny gap behind the cuspids [eye teeth]. You will be numbed up to have the extractions and won't feel anything but pressure. You will hear some cracking noises though....like Rice Krispies. The after effects are negligible on a young person. Most of my patients are out goofing off a few hours later. Take an Advil or something before you go in for the apt.
