Getting Teeth Pulled?
OK LISTEN, I have had 8 teeth total extracted, and as long as you have a good dentist all you will feel is pressure. Now, it is A LOT of pressure, but it takes 2 seconds to pull it, and then it is ALL GOOD. There is a tool they stick down the sides of the tooth to pull the gum away and grab the bottom of the tooth, and then they just pull. You will feel it when the tooth comes out, a sudden release of pressure. but it's not that bad. If you have 2 teath to come out and they are both whole, it shouldn't take more than 45 minutes including the time to let the anesthetic take effect. AFTER the procedure you MUST be careful not to let anything get in the holes, and don't suck the blood clots out or you will get dry socket, a very painful form of infection. Just keep gauze over the holes until they start to heal over, and rinse your mouth with warm water. REMEMBER afterwards don't drink out of a straw or anything that will cause you to make a sucking motion with your mouth (Im serious) and plenty of Liguid Advil (2 every four hours) and you will be just fine. DONT WORRY you will be fine, the first time is always scary.,..
Reply:Hey girl! I just got one tooth pulled Monday! It didn't hurt at all. it feels like someone's hugging your tooth. Don't worry it's not as bad as it sounds! It takes like 5 minutes ,barely, at the most. The tooth I had pulled wasn't loose, it had to be pulled beacuse one of my permanent teeth was trying to grow in. Good Luck and No worries Girly!
Reply:My husband just had a tooth pulled. He said he didn't feel much through the procedure, but his mouth was a little sore for a few days. I wasn't there, so I don't remember how long it took. I don't think it was longer than an hour.
Reply:I've had one of my teeth pulled (Just to make room in my mouth) It doesn't hurt a lot, they will numb up everything very well, than they will take some tools and just yank it out. After they have numbed you up, it takes only about a minute to pull it out. You will bleed a lot and they will put a lot of cotton in your mouth, I can't remember much pain associated with it though.
Reply:When you realize that they are going to yank be glad you asked for a drug called Tylox 500mg. Do accept anything else.
Reply:The dentist will numb your mouth so that you don't feel any pain. When your mouth is numb he will pull the tooth. You won't feel anything for awhile, but when the numbness wares off it will hurt some. He will probably prescribe a mild pain pill.
Reply:Dental techniques have come a long way. The needles are so small %26amp; flexible that you hardly feel them. Be prepared for a few days of soreness, and be sure to ask your dentist about dry sockets. You don't want that.
Reply:It won't hurt any at all. They will give you a shot of novacaine and deaden the nerves. It will take five or so minutes-or less. Your face will stay numb for another four hours and your tongue feels numb and swollen, but it won't bother you all that much. They get an appliance(dental tool) from the tray or drawer, letting the novacaine take effect first this might take ten or fifteen minutes. They're very careful.Good luck!
Reply:I have gotten 2 large un wiggly teeth pulled out.It doesnt hurt. Most likly they will num the area.i was freaking out before i got them pulled but it was a breeze. It was actually a pretty cool exsperience.I got to see my teeth with the roots and everything.Don't worry about it.
Reply:The procedure is called an Extraction. You will definatly feel pressure that you might mistake for pain but be assured you will be numbed before hand %26amp; if you fell ANY PAIN calmly raise your left hand %26amp; let ur dr. know. ALWAYS REMEMBER to take ur pain meds, dont smoke,or drink through a straw. Also EAT B4 u go! %26amp; RELAX!!!!! Good luck 2 U!
Reply:well i have had that done bout 3 times. they gave me the injection in the gum to numb the area and some gas (personally the gas made me feel really sick) and then they just start pulling, i dont mean to scare u or anything but it does hurt a wee bit, it sounds like a tree getting ripped outa the ground! but dont worry, it is over within minutes.

take care and good health ;)
Reply:hey, i just got home from the dentist like 20 minutes ago. i just got 3 teeth pulled. well, im going to be honest- it hurt so bad! first they give you shots which just feel like a lot of pressure. and then like 20 minutes later once its mostly numb they started pulling it out. he took these big thick tweeser looking thing and put it on my tooth and just started like rotating it around. that part didnt hurt so bad it just felt weird and the sound it made was creepy. you can feel each thread breaking off your tooth and that hurts a little. it took about 5 minutes per tooth. but i was at the dentist for about an hour. my teeth were permanant though. so eh im so sorry you have to do this. pray when your sitting there, lol it helps. sorry to scare you its not reeeally bad. the worst part is when its done and your whole mouth is bleeding and numb. right now even my nose is numb! and i keep having to change the gause like every 10 minutes cause its soaked with blood. good luck. ill say a prayer for ya!
