Tooth pulling?

-Can you compare getting 3 teeth pulled to getting braces?


-which hurts more the next day?


-does gettting your teeth pulled hurt more when they are doing it or more later // the next day?


And i am somone who will fall and get a little bruce but still cry.


So if anyone else is like that, is getting a teeth so painfull i will most likely cry?

Reply:Getting teeth pulled is more painful then braces... they both hurt after, but it depends what tooth you get pulled. If you get your wisdom teeth pulled it really hurts for like 3 days! but with just a regular tooth its not as bad and it only hurts for like a day or two... you%26#039;ll be fine though!
Reply:Lets see i had 6 teeth pulled out when i had braces(4 wisdom and 2 more) and i am a little cry baby too. But i can tell you that as long as the anesthesia is doing its job then it wont hurt. In my opinion getting regular molars pulled out does not hurt as much as your wisdom teeth. From what i remember i wasnt even sore after they pulled out my regular molars. The ones you should be worried about are your wisdom teeth.
Reply:I had my wisdom teeth pulled, but I did one at a time, that way I could still chew on the other side. It didn%26#039;t hurt to have them pulled I was just nervous and they gave me a pill to take before I came in to help me be relaxed, and boy did it work. I am also not very good with pain but I didn%26#039;t even have to take my pain medicine they gave me once I got home. The worst part is them actually pulling the tooth out, you can hear it and it sounds bad because it is so close to your ears, and they pull pretty hard till it comes out. I recommeand getting those little red pills they gave me for the 2nd time I got my teeth pulled I don%26#039;t even remember most of it.
Reply:Getting 3 teeth pulled doesn%26#039;t hurt at all when they get yanked out because of the Novocaine. It will take about a day to get over the pain, but taking an anti-inflammatory would help. You shouldn%26#039;t be too concerned with getting teeth pulled.


Now, braces is a different story. Getting them put on is pretty much painless. However, after you get them tightened, they do hurt for a few days because your teeth are constantly moving. I%26#039;ll tell you the truth, after you get your braces put on and then tightened, it is hard to even bite into something like a cookie. Sorry. But this pain goes away fairly quickly. Once you get past the first year or so with braces, you don%26#039;t experience this post-tightening pain anymore. Really, the anticipation of both events is worse then the actual pain. Don%26#039;t worry about it. :)
Reply:I just had 4 teeth pulled on Friday for braces. 3 of them came out easily, but the last one was tough to get out. He had to use surgical tools and actually cut down into the gum and I had to get stitches. I don%26#039;t know why, but the tooth that was hard to pull, I could feel it even though I had been injected with novocaine a few times at that site. Once the novocaine wears off, you may experience a little pain and soreness. I am still sore where the %26quot;difficult tooth%26quot; was located. I got a prescription for Vicodin to help with the pain. Hopefully, all of your teeth will come out easily. You should be fine and I don%26#039;t like pain either, but I did not cry. Its not too bad. My regular dentist pulled my teeth. I wish you the best of luck.
Reply:getting teeth pulled by a dentist or whoever u wanna call it doesnt hurt! u wont cry and once it is taken out, u wont feel hurt. u should feel great that its outta ur way! having it pulled out was kinda simple for me. all u gotta do is just RELAX while ur dentist uses a novocane to numb ur gum. it hurts less than a regular shot in the arm. if u could sorta feel like ur mouth has a cotton ball in it, then it means it is numb. then it will b taken out (gently-i hope). bite on some gloss, ur fine! i had to do it when i was like 6 years old and i didnt cry!! b strong! and btw, braces hurt a lot! =(

Reply:I%26#039;ve only had one tooth pulled -- a wisdom tooth (not impacted) and it was no big deal -- not as bad as getting a filling, in my opinion. My dentist gave me a prescription for Vicodin (pain killer) but I took Advil once and that was that as far as pain. I am the world%26#039;s worst dental patient but don%26#039;t have great teeth so I%26#039;ve got lots of experience with dental work, including several root canals. I%26#039;m usually very anxious and fidgety and a difficult patient for the dentist to treat, even though I try very hard to cooperate -- so trust me when I say that getting a tooth pulled is possibly the least unpleasant thing that%26#039;s happened to me in a dentist office.
