Keep or pull your teeth?

I%26#039;ve had bad teeth for years. Have about 6 spots where I%26#039;ve had to have them emergency removed because they go bad so quickly.

Yes I brush them every day.

What are your thoughts on keeping teeth or pulling them?

I realise that dentists say to keep them, but if they cause you so much pain ... what is the point?

Keep or pull your teeth?
Whoa...let%26#039;s not get the wagon in front of the horse...While it concerns me that you have had so many dental problems, given your dental history I%26#039;m more concerned about why you didn%26#039;t have a reason for those dental issues. From what you described your a text book case of a person dealing with one or more other health issues not related to dental. I would first want to know if you have ever been diagnosed as being Diabetic. What you describe is classic diabetic dental problems. Also are you or have you been considered as being Anemic? Either of those issues could very likely be what you need to find out about ASAP...Keep teeth that feel OK and don%26#039;t give you problems. By determining whats affecting them you may very well be able to turn the issue around and have healthier teeth...See your MD and get a Diabetic blood sugar test as well as a complete blood scan....then you will be ready to see your DDS. Good Luck and I wish you well.
Reply:Ultimately it is your decision. Weigh out the pros and cons and then make a decision from there. Dentists are in a business and do gain from your bad teeth. You have to do what is best for you.
Reply:Do not have all the lowers extracted if they can be kept but you dentist will have to decide which ones these are.Getting a lower denture is very similar to getting a wooden leg. No i

am not kidding!! Doc W
