No rinsing today. Do not use a straw with which to drink. Do not smoke. Do not eat hot things. Do not suck on the sockets.

Losing a stitch happens. Call the dds in the morning and see if they want you to come in. The stitch helps but it doesn't mean that you will lose the clot just because it (the stitch) came out.

Dry sockets hurt really badly. The way to tell if you are getting one is when the extraction sites are feeling a certain amount of tenderness and that tenderness starts to increase instead of getting better. If the sensitivity continues to increase, call the dds to have the tooth looked at. Don't wait for a couple days to see if it is gonna get better.
Reply:You need to go back to the doctor as soon as possible.
Reply:I would call the dentist who you went to in the first place, and ask if you need to come in to be restiched. You do NOT want a dry socket, as that is incredibly painful from what I hear, but if a single stitch came out, it still may be closed enough for you not to worry. Definately call them though.

Reply:Probably make no difference. The first 3-4 days rinse very gently with half peroxide, half water; just roll the liquid around and spit. If you have a dry socket, no one will have to tell you. Go back to the Dr. that removed the teeth and he will treat the socket. It will have to be irrigated and medicated. Usually no big deal if promptly treated.
