Getting all 4 wisdom teeth pulled in 5 hours, what to eat after?

I am getting all 4 of my wisdom teeth pulled today. 1 is not in the bone at all, two are partially, and one is completely. What can I eat after the surgery and the days following? I know I shouldn't use a straw or eat anything I have to chew. I figure mashed potatoes, jello, lukewarm soup, maybe some stage 3 baby food fruits, oatmeal and spaghettios (no meatballs), but what else? Any other tips on what to eat or anything at all to do with wisdom teeth extraction recovery would be helpful! I HATE THE DENTIST!!!!! Thanks!

I would start our with nothing but liquids. Then slowly add very soft foods that you do not have to chew. Good Luck!!!!

I hate the Dentist also!!!!!

Reply:ICE CREAM
Reply:Today, it would be best to stick with cool, soft foods. Jello, cottage cheese, pudding, yogurt, etc for the first 24 hours while the clots are forming in the sockets. Its important to rinse with salt water after eating to remove food particles from incision sites. tomorrow you can change over to warm foods like mac %26amp; cheese, soup, mashed potatoes, and the like. Its important not to continue to spit blood out of your mouth post procedure. This will make it difficult for clots to form in the sockets and will cause continual bleeding-then spitting and bleeding becomes a viscious cycle. Fold some small gauze sponges into squares , place them in the areas where your teeth were extracted, then bite down for 5-10 minutes. this should stop bleeding. Good luck!+
Reply:Simple, ask your dentist, HE knows plenty. :-)
Reply:Chances are, you're not going to have an appetite for awhile anyway but all the foods you listed sound good......if you have some energy, make smoothiesw/spinach (it'll give you a lot of nutrients that other pureed foods lack)
Reply:omg!! i kn wt ur goin thru cuz i need 2 remove mine 2 but im waiting till the summer

but i heared its not eassy 2 remove them all at once
Reply:slushies from sonic are great! happy hour is from 2-4 everyday, half-priced drinks and slushes
Reply:First couple days, nothing but liquid. Oatmeal is sticky and it will be hard to brush/keep the wound area clean. Apple sauce and pudding might be good once you start feeling a bit better.
