After wisdom teeth are pulled?
i had 3 wisdom tooth extracted. Yes it is quite normal for it to bleed a little after one day especially if its from the lower jaw. Semi solid foods are good...if u like porriage or soft rice. I used to drink those complete nutrition drinks like Ensure or Resourse....it taste good and a can keeps u full for about 3-4 hours. And do try to lay off the ciggies for awhile...dont think the smoke make it heal any faster. Good oral hygiene is important too...rinse with an antiseptic mouthwash 3-4 times a day especially after meals
Reply:No smoking or you might have a major problem.
Reply:Rinse your mouth out, frequently, with anaseptic mouth wash. It will take at least a week for the gums to heal completely. Don't swallow blood. Spit it out often.

Don't smoke. Drink simple liquids, like Kool Aid. Slowly eat some ice cream.
Reply:you should only do one side at a time. Pulling all four on ONE day is pure madness! Your dentist is a butcher!

But too late now. Try to cool your mouth, gurgle antiseptic solutions. Don´t smoke and eat mashed foods, mashed potatoes, veggie, even baby food.

If symptoms persist, see a doctor. but I would certainly not go back to this butcher - guy!
Reply:marsh mallow^^
Reply:for the first 3-4 days you should just eat soft foods that aren't too hot since heat induces bleeding by causing more blood flow. Oatmeal, fruit shakes, even pasta will do. You can gradually shift to more solid foods if bleeding lessens. It will really still bleed for a few days since the wound hasn't closed yet. Soft, cold food will be helpful in restricting blood flow so continue eating them. Don't smoke yet until after your wound has completely healed since this can cause infection, especially because your wound is still very new.
Reply:you should bite on a cold wet teabag. that should help stop the bleeding. if it doesn't stop, you need to call the doctor. it could be the blood that's making you sick.

i ate mashed potatoes, pudding, mac %26amp; cheese, jello, soup and ice cream. it sucked. and i couldn't chew very for about a week well when i started eating normal foods again.

do not smoke. i also smoke and, yes, it makes you crazy but don't. you do not want dry sockets.

i just had this done about a month ago. all 4, like you. the doc told me to keep the gauze in for about 30 minutes after i got home from the surgery. they didn't want it in because of infection. you say you've been throwing up, that could have also caused you to bleed. try the teabag thing.
Reply:i ahd my top 2 removed and it takes about a good week to fully heel. you can put your tongue in the holes until then then it will heel up the hole and it will be fine. dont swallow the blood , and dont eat salty stuff cause it will make it burn like crazy. my hubby had some removed and he's a 3 pack a day smoker and he went right on afterwards and smoked away. it didnt bother him, but hey everyones different. be careful and take care.
Reply:DO NOT SMOKE FOR 48 HOURS!!!!! OR SUCK ANYTHING THROUGH A STRAW!!!!

The bleeding can be just seepage mixing with your saliva, that 's normal. But if you are really flowing moisten a tea bag and place it on the extraction sights 5 minutes to coagulate the bleeding.

DO NOT SPIT EITHER. Try eating scrabbled eggs, oatmeal, jello, smoothies, mac %26amp; cheese. When brushing be careful to stay away from the extraction sights.
Reply:continue with the foods you are eating. You don't have to be on a very soft diet. If you feel comfortable eating pasta or rice or something else soft, go ahead. Bleeding a little is normal but if you swallow a lot blood, it can upset your stomach. Place some gauze on the area and bite down for 30 mins, this will stop the bleeding. Do not smoke for at least two days, the longer you can go the better. If you are swallowing a lot of blood, this is causing you to throw up. Control the bleeding with gauze or lightly bite down on a tea bag
