Getting my wisdom teeth pulled out?
It probably would be too hot if you didn't let it cool a bit. Avoid salty stuff.
Reply:The only thing I remember from getting my wisdom teeth pulled was not being able to sip from a straw...I guess the suction would've pulled out the stitches. Good luck....you'll be pretty sore.
Reply:you gotta eat stuff that is not solid. like yogurt, soup (let it cool a bit before eating), jello, and plenty of fluids. don't drink from a straw. good luck with it all. I get mine out in a couple weeks. i'm so flippin scared.
Reply:NEVER EVER EVER USE A STRAW!

Hi, sorry for all caps, but that really is important to remember. If you use a straw, you can get what is called "Dry Sack" which is some sort of air that gets trapped where the wisdom teeth were removed. Then you get an infection as a result.
Reply:yes soup is fine
Reply:You probably wan't be able to eat anything for 24 hours or so. Your mouth will be too sore. Try milkshakes! The cold ice cream made my swelling go down and was about the only thing that I could eat.
Reply:the oral surgeon will give you a list of what you should and shouldn't do following the surgery. Follow it carefully and you will recover quickly.
Reply:Soup is okay but luke warm and smoothies are great. Anything easy to drink and eat. Also it depends on the person. I was eating Mc. Donalds on the second day and it took me about an hour. Lol! Also eat anyways or else you'll get locked jaw which is what I got. Also you might want t try sucking on hard candies but not biting them. Remember you have other teeth you can use.
Reply:You should rinse reall good, when the task is done. Then eat some good soup, and porridge for a couple of weeks. But right after the dental office, drink some 7 UP and lots of water. Believe me, having them pulled is not easy to go thorugh. When I did it,

doing what I just advised you to do, helped me. Greatly. I felt a little sick, in the dental chair, at first.
Reply:It just depends on how sensitive they are. You can let it cool down a little, but you might not be able to opne your mouth wide enough to get a spoon in there. Straws( and smoking) are out of the question because the sucking can cause bleeding. You can put the soup into a coffee mug and drink like that.

I was in my early 20's when I had all four of them taken out at the same time. I don't recall any major problems, just some soreness. I took 3 days off from work but could have gon back in two. Good luck!
Reply:I had all four of mine removed through surgery, I think that soup it's okay but wait for it to cool down a bit. Do not suck through a straw whatever you do, it can cause dry socket and I got that it's EXTREMELY PAINFULL! The dentist will give you specific instructions on what you can and cant have to eat but your looking at jello, apple sauce, yogurt, nothing but the mushy stuff for you
Reply:Jello will be your new food of choice. Pudding, warm soup-not hot. You will be ok. Our bodies heal amazingly quickly.
Reply:I didnt want to eat right after it hurt...but eating soft food and warm is probably best
Reply:its gonna hurt sooooooooooooo bad!

gud luck :D
